Remi Update

Hi Don and Pierette, 

Myself and Remi have been busy this summer so far ! Any time not working we are out and about somewhere. 

He’s coming up on his 3rd birthday in August and is still completely full of energy and drive !

We can’t wait for bird season back here in NL.

Attached is a pic of me and my very wet co-pilot, Willow, cruising the lake 🙂 Willow says there's no need for her to do the 'doggy paddle' when her human will do all the work lol 😉 so she gets to sit back and enjoy the ride 😊 What a life, eh?  It was a great day to be at the lake today 😎 Willow loved it! 🌞

Rosie is doing amazingly well

Hi Don,

Rosie is doing amazingly well.  She fits into our family so well, just like Tuuk did, although she is very different in personality. 

She loves people, dogs and water!  She especially loves to play frisbee.  She wants to be with us always 💕. She loves to sit on MY lounge chair whenever she can steal it from me.   She’ll stare at me until I get up too! (Pics attached.)

She loves to roll in mud or dirt wherever she can find it.  I have attached a picture of the aftermath! 

She loves playing in the snow.  (Pic attached) 

She often has a play date with Camo (Jeremy dobson) who is also one of your dogs. I believe they are related but I can’t remember how.   Rosie can from Tiggs.  (I’ll attach a picture of them playing when Camo was younger.)

So my sister has borrowed Brandy from my Dad for a couple of days lol ..... She is raising Painted Lady butterflies again this year and she managed to get these 'Butterfly and Brandy' shots this afternoon that she sent to me! 😮 I was impressed! lol 🦋 Maybe Brandy is a secret Butterfly Whisperer lol 😊  I thought you guys might like to see the attached pics 😉 I think they're pretty special ❤️

Isla Finds Waldo The Squirrel

Hi Don,

During our afternoon walk, Isla stopped and started staring at the rock wall and surrounding trees. Upon closer inspection I realized that she and a squirrel were engaged in a game of find Waldo the squirrel which went on for about one minute. Her behaviour was perfect though, no tugging on the leash, no rushing at the squirrel, no chase… just a quiet afternoon in the neighborhood.

Hi Don, 

Remy is a very smart little fellow, he knows how to come and sit, we are working on stay. We’ve had a few accidents but generally he signals us when he needs to go outside.

Hey Don,

Here’s a photo of Isla during one of our fetch it sessions this week. I have to tell her to stop at some point (she loves retrieving). The other day she did 2,500 yards of retrieving back to back and wasn’t even really breathing hard. Decided to shut it down though with our favorite morning command (I like it too!), “breakfast time!”.

Canoe trip with Remi

Hey Don, 

Hope all is well on your end.

Myself and Remi did a 40km, 3 night/4 day canoe/camping trip last weekend. He loved every minute of it. Here are a few pictures from our adventure.
