We had the pleasure of having one of your dogs, Angus R.I.P

Good morning Don...

Not sure if you remember us.. but we had the pleasure of having one of your dogs Angus, as a family member. He passed away at almost 14. He has brought so much joy to our family over these years. I wanted to thank you and Don R. for making sure we found the best dog for our family.

Thank you.

Quarantine Buddy :)

Thank goodness for Willow  😉  She's great company when things are 'normal,' and has been even greater company since I've been home like everyone else!  And she's not complaining - she gets more play time now that I'm home everyday! lol

Hope you guys are still doing okay!

Stay Well!!

Dana

Replay Final (video)

This is a tribute to Rose!

Kadnook Meant To Be (Rose)

Daughter Grand Champion Chelsea. Best Puppy in Show!
Granddaughter Grand Champion Annalou. She also was a Best Puppy in Show! She
has won 17 CKC titles in 5 disciplines!
Great Granddaughter Grand Champion Moxie. She also won a Best Puppy in Show.
She became a Grand Champion at 9 months!
I wonder what the odds are against a mother, daughter and granddaughter each
winning Best Puppy in Show!!!

I looked hard for three years for a chocolate female worth breeding. My
search took me to Jill of Kadnook kennels in Australia.  She was having the
same trouble and was going to stop trying.  She owned Kadnook Meant To Be
(Rose), about to come into heat!  I made a deal where Jill would find a
suitable black male that carried chocolate, breed her and send her over.
Kept a cf and called her Mud.  A bf, Zarah went to New York where she was
trained for a service dog. My chocolate line and many of my blacks can be
traced back to Rose.  She was one of 5 dogs from Kadnook  I am the only
person in North America able to get one.  Jill refused at first saying, " No
you Americans ruin dogs with shock collars".  She checked me out and many
months later called to say she had just bred a litter, what did I want,  I
took a yf and called her Roo, (for Kangaroo)
.

Jill is now deceased, her husband Wayne continues but on a smaller scale.
Jill was very proud of her dogs but not for being 50% responsible for the
very first Labradoodle.

Our amazing dog Rosie

Hi Don,

I wanted to let you know that our amazing dog Rosie died a few weeks ago at
age 12- she would have been 13 in July. Her mother was your dog Mud and she
came to live with us in 2007.

I cannot explain what an amazing dog she was. She had the most focus and
drive to retrieve of any dog I have ever seen. She was also an amazing
family dog who did everything with my kids. Camping,  hiking, boating - she
was such an important part of our lives.

Her eye contact was incredible. Always looking at me to see what I wanted
her to do next.

Here are a few pictures of her. We miss her so much.

Photo of Isla

Hi Don,

Isla is doing well and enjoying life. Here’s a photo taken last night during our evening walk. In typical Isla style, she’s looking for her next adventure!

My best,
Bruce
