Dog updates

Bee, Jet, Liz, Mud and Mutt are now retired.  Pie and Brie have passed all their health certifications with excellent results, I will send their information for posting as soon as I get good pictures of them.  Most need better pictures now!  I’m very pleased with a black female, a Storm pup!  She is only 4 months old, very trainable, quiet, birdy and good looking.  I’ll patiently waiting for her to be six months old so I can have PennHIP evaluation of her hips, I’m sure the dna tests will be fine because of Storm!!

Daisy has been doing very well

Daisy has been doing very well. She is certainly a very busy little puppy. We are enjoying teaching her the rules of the house. Something our 3 year old black female lab is helping out with. When we got her at 7 weeks she was 8.5 pounds. At her 11 week check up she weighed in at 19 lbs. I'm guessing she's up to 30 lbs now. I've included a few photos of her over the last few weeks.

Thanks again

Noah #1 in tracking test in USA

Vanessa took Noah to a tracking test in USA. He drew the #1 so ran first and qualified!  I have watched them work, it's hard to say which one has the most fun. It's also difficult to say which one exerts the most effort

Vanessa and Noah have been a prime example of an ideal owner with an ideal example of what a Labrador should look and act like!  Congratulations, well deserved.

Waiting for the Judge...

At the end of the Obedience Trial Wendy took Annalou  to the area near the Show Photographer. It was busy with lots of Handlers, Owners and Dogs.Wendy put Annalou's ribbon on the stand and left Annalou to go and complete a form for a picture.Totally on her own, Annalou got up on the stand and laid down with her paw contently resting  on her  new CD ribbon.Walt Norris's assistant saw Annalou and said look at that. Everyone turned to look at Annalou very relaxed, calmly waiting and ignoring all the dogs and people around her.Walt quickly took this picture and exclaimed "I like this dog. This is what Labs are supposed to be like"!

Cobequid Dod Show

I entered Dex, Pie and Bree in the CGN (Canine Good Neighbor) tests at the Cobequid Dod Show in  Bible Hill and they all qualified.  Pie and Bree are still too young to have finished all their health clearances.  Bree and Pie have their PennHIP x-rays on 20th,  if the results are far better than average I will add them to kennel team.

Angus is 9!

I'm late with the birthday photo! Our Angus (of Yew and Storm) turned 9 on September 9th. Lots of frosting on his sweet face, and a few benign lumps, but still such a playful, wonderful boy.

I hope you all are doing well!

Very best,
Theresa, Steve, Olivia, Anna, and Angus

Puppy Day!

Good Morning Don,

We are going to a Wedding, and I was looking for a Navy Blue purses in my closet. ( Since I rarely get dressed up any more, they are boxed away in a closet) When I found it, there was a date book inside. It was datebook from 2005!.

As I looked thru it, I saw one page where I had written Puppy Day!!!That was the day when you Flew Sable down.   We had to pick her up at LaGuardia Air Port.My friends Joanne & Trudy came in to wait for my Handicapped Autistic Son, Clark. He was in Special School, I was concerned about a conflict of time.

I did not want to miss his buss. They drove in from the Hamptons just in case he came home, before we got home with wiggling black bundle of joy.i We beat the bus...They loved our Puppy from Canada.

I remember Trudy holding, smiling and giggling at the Puppy. Now she has Alzheimer's Disease, but she remembers that day.   What a Happy day that was....nothing like a puppy!

Then Off she went for "Puppy Raising" with Jessie and "Service Dog" training With Pro and Joe.  I have had 6 dogs, and I have loved them all.  I have to say, Sable is the best dog I have ever owned.   She knows her commands, and obedience and is "My Shadow'.Sometimes I think she is anticipating my thoughts and moves.

Now it is 2015, Sable is 10.  She has Diabetes & her eyes are getting cloudy.  Sable can't catch as many balls as she used to, but she still brings me the ball and wants to play all the time.  Sable is still more than a pet, she is a wonderful companion and has been a wonderful dog. I hope she sticks around for a many years. Thank you Don, for the Puppy & OUR friendship

Goodbye to our beautiful yellow lab, Tetley

Hi Don,

Nick and I had to say goodbye to our beautiful yellow lab, Tetley yesterday.  We were blessed to have been given the opportunity to adopt him from you 11 years ago.  He was the best dog we could ever have asked for and he gave us so much love & joy.  Our family is devastated & we miss him dearly but are happy that he's at peace, is no longer suffering & is running free in doggie heaven.  Thank you so much for giving him to us all those years ago.

Kate
