Ayce (pics)

Don,

Ayce is doing great. I have snapped a couple of pictures today so you can see how much he is growing. He loves to see the kids get home every day off the bus so he can get out for a run with them. Now that school is over he is in his glory and is on the go even more. Lots of playing in the backyard, chasing balls or taking a walk around the rest of the farm. As you can see from some of the photos he loves his sticks and around the farm there is no shortage of those wherever he goes. A couple weeks ago we had him down to the beach in Parrsboro where he really discovered how much he loves the water. I unfortunately forgot my camera that day as he had a great time getting in the water to fetch the ball. He was not sure about going deep enough so that he would need to swim but he would run and jump around with the water up to his chest. Looking forward to next trip to see what happens then. I will get some photos then and send along.

Thanks and talk with you soon!

Andrew

Note wet hair (on the dog!). He leaned too far over the edge and.......

How have I ended up with a lab that doesn't like food, or water?!

But he's very handsome.....

Pat (Canine Good Neighbour)

I took Pat and It to the Canine Good Neighbour "CGN" test in New Minas yesterday, they both qualified. They have each qualified three times in obedience, thus completing the requirements for the Companion Dog title. You can now show the titles of CD CGN after each of their registered names. It has 2 show points, I will probably continue her pursuit of the CH title. Pat isn't a show dog but she surely is a beauty!

Gary entered Chelsea in the PEI show

Gary entered Chelsea in the PEI show held last weekend, the judges were from Australia and New Zealand. Kim PENNIE handled her and won another two points. She only requires one more point for her Canadian Show Champion title, "CH". Her next show will be in Canning this weekend. She is only one year old and is drawing very favourable comments about her looks and temperament. Kim has become one of her biggest fans!

This is Oka (pics)

Not exactly the greatest of pictures, but I only had my phone with me
to take them! Note which one of us is actually IN the water! Perhaps
he'll develop into a water baby later?

Hillandales Samantha Driftwood (breeding)

I have a breeder friend in N.B. Gary FALOON who sent his female, "Hillandales Samantha Driftwood" aka Maggie, to for breeding in 2004. I bred her with Jet and he kept one of the resulting pups, "Hillandales Maggie Mae". Gary has sent Maggie Mae to me for breeding and I bred her today with Puddleducks Artic Storm. She should have blacks and yellows around 20th of August. Gary can be contacted at RGFaloon@coxandpalmer.com. I have attached a copy of her CKC Registration Certificate and her PennHIP report.

Violet

Violet went to the vet today, she has a urinary tract infection. She also has entropien, which they are hoping will go away as she grows. I hope this is not a hint of things to come. Other than that she is growing great and doing awesome.

Hi Don,

So I finally have a collection of pics to show you of Coop. He is the darling of the whole street, everyone is in love with him. Of course, I expected nothing less from an offspring of Bella and Storm. This is just a sample.

Thanks again Don,
Ken

Gem's CKC Hunt Test

Hi Don,

Gem went two for three at a CKC Hunt Test in Kamloops a week ago. We need two more for her senior title then on to her Masters next season. She is a very popular dog in our retriever circles and at a recent Evan Graham seminar we participated in Evan remarked that " Gem is aptly named, can I have her ?! " So as I improve as a handeler so does Gem's performances. The young dogs have earned their JH titles, placed at some field trial picnic events and are running well. They have good basics and solid obediance. Any ways take care and thanks for creating our Gem.

Jasper & Kaleigh (pics)

Hello Don, how are you? Long time no talk. I was just wondering what was going on as far as obedience classes go, I think its time to seriously try for CDX but wouldn't mind starting off in a CD class just to get Jasper back into it. I also am sending you a picture of Jasper that we took the other day, Kaleigh and her are such good friends I just don't know who loves who more. Say hi to Pierrette for us.

Thanks Shawn

Re: pups for sale

Hi Don,

We also have no problem with the agreement, it is important for us to have a healthy dog and we think you have the best knowledge for this.

We have some questions : You write the litter is due around the 4th of July, does this mean you give the puppies to the purchaser?? We understand that the pupies will be born around beginning of June, is this correct? And how old are they when you give them away?? Our doberman was about 6 weeks but it was several years ago, so maybe we are wrong. We are very interested in getting a puppy from you, our nieces all view your site and love your pictures.

Can you give us a reply what we have to do, thank you very much and we wish you a good sunday.

All the best from Germany,

Yours Tirza and Markus.

Reply:

Good Morning and thanks for your interest in a Doindogs pup! I have just bred Mud to a very nice chocolate male in USA. You can check that kennel at http://cedarwoodkennels.com/ This litter is due around 4th July. I don't have an agreement made yet for this litter but have attached one from a previous litter, as a sample. Please notice that I have found it necessary to have people agree not to allow their pups to be either neutered or spayed until they are at least 18 months old. Some of my reasons for this can be found in an article which I have also attached.

Could I have your permission to post your e-mail on my site? I would have all contact information removed.

Sable and Bill

Don,

I wanted you to tell you how Sable has been helping Bill with his Cardiac recovery, by walking OFF LEASH around town.

Bill has only gone for a few blocks...but that is great. He loves it and so does she! In fact on as they were coming back, down our block on Sunday, a Police car stop them on our corner...

I thought He was being told to put a leash on her. No...the Police Woman Asked Bill about Sable and how long it took to train Sable. Apparently Her Lab is nuts. Bill told her that we bought her from you, after C & G recommended your dogs. They trained her to be my Service Dog.

Today, when we saw his Cardiac Surgeon, he asked if Bill was exercising? He told the Doctor that He & Sable were walking around town. Thanks for our wonderful Sable...

Good Breeding, Good Training...GREAT DOG!

Janette
