Hi Don,
We wanted to let you know, Belle is doing great. She is almost 6 months old now and growing like a weed! She continues to learn lots, loves hikes in the woods, and enjoys playing with other dogs (even ones that are much bigger than her)! She loves everyone and everything except squirrels!! She is an amazing dog!!
Cheers and hope you had a great holiday!

Ollie's 12th birthday
Hi Don and Pierrette,
Its Ollie's 12th birthday and we thought we would send you a note and a picture to let you know that he is still going strong. He is such a special part of the family and a real buddy to the three grand kids who have come along since he joined us. His health and weight are excellent.
Season greetings and all the best for 2020.

Isla Holding Her Candy Cane Toy
Hi Don and Pirette,
Merry Christmas from Isla! Here’s a picture of her practicing “hold” using her candy cane toy.
She’s doing great on all fronts and is starting to fill out with even more muscle. Not sure how that’s possible based on how much muscle she already has, but it’s happening as she approaches 2-years old.
Had her out this morning and her love of water is evident, even on a day where the wind chill is dropping the temperatures into the early double digits. Managed to keep her out of the lake, but she still found a couple of shallow ponds. She loves cracking the thin ice and lying down in the little ponds or puddles for a minute or two (there’s definitely something strange about her and cold water!) … then off she goes through the forest at top speed… the only way I know where she is to listen for the crashing around and watch for the small saplings moving around as she flies past them. On recall, I realize she’s coming in full blast… at the last second she jams on the brakes a slides up at a perfect sit, or heal (if asked) right by me… too funny. She does nothing half way!! On the topic of recall, she was on the top of her game this morning. She’d be out meandering around, about 150’ in front of me, loping along or sniffing something… a quick “HERE!” and she immediately wheels around (regardless of whether she’s on the move or sniffing) and comes flying back at top speed. Fun to watch!
All the best!
Bruce

Raven the perfect pet (video)
Hey Don
I so enjoyed our short visit. Meeting Tuck was a distinct pleasure. Pierette had her hands full in the back yard with the herd:)
Roo was a product of your care and dedication to the breed standard. Raven inherited this from his mom. The result was the perfect pet for Brian and Marilyn. We have you to thank for that. That is why we put our trust and confidence in your judgment and care. If our future pup will bring us half the joy and love that Raven did, then we shall be well served and satisfied.
You look great and are as affable as usual.
take care and Merry Christmas!

Bigby and Lex update!
Hi Don,
I have to say, one of my biggest worries when adding a new dog to the household was how Bigby would get along.
Not bad for an old man
Hi Don,
I had Tucker out for a short hunt, the black ducks I had hoped for never showed so a little fish duck had to be his bird.
He turned 12 in July so there are no more hard hunting days for him, just a nice easy spot.
I attached a picture of his son Bear.
Hope all is well.

Christmas with Remi
Hi Don and Pirrette,
Well, our second Christmas with Remi is fast approaching and I said I’d send you along a picture to show off our boy.
He’s a solid 70lbs, great with the retrieve, and loyal to a fault.
We couldn’t haven’t asked for a better friend, hunting partner, and confident.
Keep doing what you do and we’ll be back for another wonderful pup in the future.
Thanks,
Nicholas

Gunny (Angus) Blood Lines
Hi Don
I
hope all is well with you..I own Gunny ( Angus) purchased from you 8
years ago..He is, hands down, the best dog I have ever had! His
bloodline was Storm and Pat..Do you have breeding stock from that
bloodline these days? I am thinking about a pup for next.
Look forward to hearing from you.
Kind Regards
Rod

Brandy Again
It's not hard to tell that my sister just LOVES Brandy, and she loves taking her on outings!! And yes, she is a pretty dog 🙂 Attached are two more pics of Brandy that my sister just sent to me a little while ago. I think she's trying to get Brandy into the Christmas spirit lol I told her she should borrow Willow sometime for some Christmasy photos, too lol cause pretty soon Willow is going to start feeling left out! lol

Tuuk update
Hi Don, It’s been a while. 14 1/2 years ago my wife Andrea and I purchased a beautiful eight week old chocolate lab puppy from you who we named Tuuk. His mom was Rose.
He broke the mold in every sense. He became part of the family and took part in all our family adventures. Sadly, I had to put Tuuk down yesterday. He had an amazing life and up until the last week was completely healthy and active. My wife and three kids wanted to let you know what a special dog he was.
It’s too soon now but I can see us getting another dog in the future. Tuuk’s temperament and demeanor were perfect for my family.

W & B Together Again :)
My sister and I took both dogs for a walk together today 🙂 , but don't worry, they stayed nice and warm 😉 lol My sister bought them each a winter coat lol, which they both wore today cause it was a little chilly out ..... Brandy wasn't too impressed with wearing hers today though, but Willow didn't care lol
PS: I think my sister is trying to get them in the Christmas spirit with the red and green! lol lol lol lol lol
❤️Labs leave a lasting impression ..... they leave paw prints on your heart ❤️

Update on Maggie!
Hi Don!
It’s been a while but I thought I would send an update on our sweet Maggie girl. She is 3 now and is as good as gold. We certainly lucked out on such a fantastic dog.
We got hit with some sad news a few weeks ago when I had taken her to the vet with a swollen gum- tissue ended up being oral cancer. Before I continue- she’s going to be ok!
The vets were fantastic and made her a priority for a surgery right away in Bedford at Draper Vet services. Luckily, we caught it early and if removed won’t comeback or spread. So we were SO relieved to hear she would continue to live a long happy life after surgery. She came home yesterday. An inch of her jaw and some teeth were removed but she still looks great!
