Angus (pics)
Hi Don!
Summer is in full swing here in Ottawa, and Angus is enjoying swimming in the river across from our house and lazing in the heat in the back yard. Thought you might like a few pictures of our handsome guy.
Hope the sun finds the maritimes soon!
Take care,

Noah (pic)
Hi Don,
Here’s Noah.
My brother and our family were looking at pictures of you this weekend that I had from your quick trip to Long Island. I can’t believe how small Zarah was! You picked her up and put her on top of your truck in the front of the house.
That was many years ago already!

Noah at 14 months
Hi Don
Just happened to take these pictures yesterday. It was so hot that we put their bed out on the deck and Noah and Pluto promptly sat down on it J I remember the same time last year – Noah could barely scramble up on to the bed and looked so tiny on it J Time has flown by too quick.
Take care

Tally (update)
Tally went for rabies shot today.... She is only 35lbs- do you think she is going to be the runt?! She has also sneakily excavated a gigantic hole in the garden, rather like a giant rabbit hole, so deep that when I snuck up behind her, all that was poking out was the very end of her tail! I would have taken a picture, except I was trying to be more sneaky than her.... and I was also holding my slipper in my hand to give her a quick pat on the rump. She didn't hear me coming at ALL, and leaped about 6 feet in the air. I'm just hoping that I can get it filled in before Simon gets back from Sweden!

Midnite at 5 Months
On Friday April 29th, Midnite (Tucker) went to the vet for his final needles. At 5 months old he weighs 41lbs. Our Vet said, "He is all lean". She is very happy with his weight. Plus he is going to be "a large lap dog", as the vet stated. We had an incident with Tucker being fed with two slices of bananas. Needless to say, that didn't go overly well. He was on a rice diet for a few days. Tucker also loves mud. He finds the mud areas, and he digs and plays in it. Attached one picture of him from being in the mud. This is one of the better days. One day he was fully covered in mud. As well, while we were renovating our son's bedroom, Cole has been sleeping in the living room, Tucker joins him as well.

Noah's Florida vacation
Hi Don
Thought you might like to see what fun Noah had on his first vacation to Florida. He swam in the pool daily basis. He aloso got to stay at the Disney VIP Kennel with his two 'brothers'. The kennel is very fancy (and expensive!!). They had a fully glass room with a little courtyard outside as well as a TV at dog level :-) nice cushions and of course, fully air conditioned - all this while we baked in the 92F heat at Disney :-).
We also went for some nice walks at the state parks and botanical gardens.
And now we are back to the cold and rain ... Noah doesn't care but the basenji boys are not happy!
Take care

Hope all is well with you and yours!
Black Lab Pup
Thanks Don
I feel I have made the right choice with your pat/storm breeding, I emailed everyone on the contact list you sent and most responded and every person, both hunters and nonhunters were extremely pleased with their dogs. You obviously understand dogs and dog breeding very well! Also everyone I contacted had very high praise for you and the professional maner in which you dealt with them.
I look forward to my new pup. Please keep me posted on when the breeding is done so I can start the count down!
Best regards
Rod

Lab pup
My name is Scott. I am currently working as a Nurse in Iqaluit, I am very interested in a Lab puppy. Preferably a chocolate. I have read your online info and am very impressed with your philosophy regarding breeding for health, temperment, working ability and show. I do a fair bit of hunting and fishing, but would not necessarily train the dog for water foul. We also have children so temprement is very important to us. We live a very active outdoor lifestyle. We have owned labs in the past and know they make wonderful family members.
I was wondering if you had any information regarding future litters as I would love to have the oportunity for Fall ownership if possible. Perhaps I could arrange to meet with you and see the dogs when I arrived back in Halifax.
Please let me know what litters you may have planned.
Thanks very much,
Scott

Happy 1st Birthday Noah (pics)
Hi Don
Well Noah turns 1 today!! I can’t believe how the time has just flown by. It seems like just yesterday that you called me to say that you had a puppy available. The time has flown but we have enjoyed every minute of it. Thank you very much for Noah, he has turned in to quite the dog from the little puppy.
We are having a little birthday party tonight with doggy birthday cake (that I made from dog-friendly ingredients J ). Hopefully I get a picture before the dogs gobble it up.
Take care
