This is from Puck's breeder in Australia.

I haven’t used anything for ticks until today, I have been very lucky! My vet, Eric CARNEGY has dogs and takes them into the woods very frequently. He uses Bravecto every three months. Even though I’m afraid of the medication, I’m more afraid of ticks and the many diseases they can carry. Puck, Lu and Dex got Bravecto today, at least I don’t have to worry about ticks during this hunting season, one chewable pill lasts for three months!

Hi there Jaxx is doing great with the goose hunting. Running down and retreives cripples like a pro. Heading to Alberta in a couple of weeks so that should be a real workout for her.
Cheers,

Well.... Hello!
Max is doing good now. We have had a few challenges with Max and continue to a bit. His food allergies are now under control. We finally found a vet that has helped us tremendously. Dr Little, who is just down the street from you guys has been his savior. She practices herbal medicine. It has certainly helped Max. His food allergies was causing his fur to fall out around his eyes. So much that he looked like he had a grey mask around his eyes. He had severe skin allergies due to the allergies and was peeing uncontrollable in his sleep. We had a saliva test done, this is a new method on how to determine allergies on dogs. He was pretty much allergic to everything!...... Lol.lol... Milk, wheat, chicken, fish, venison, pork, and the list goes on!.......lol.... It can only test things that he has become in contact with...... So needless to say,..... His diet is pretty strict. I make all of his food and it consist of beef... luckily not allergenic.........lol.... sweets potato, turnip, and carrots.
I have taken Maggey off the dry kibble food as well. So..... I spend a lot of time making their food!......lol..lol... But.... They are worth it!......lol.lol... He also has an issue with his eyes. More so with the left. He has hazy spots on them. His sight doesn't seem to be affected. We haven't really got into that problem too much yet. We are focusing right now on getting his diet under control. He is our precious boy! We are so lucky to have him!... Most days!......lol..lol.....He is so affectionate, loves snuggling, always has to be with us. Some days that is a challenge!...lol.lol...h Here are some recent pis of summer. It sure was a great one! Hope all is great with you guys!

Hey Don,
Hope all is well. Just a quick update on Willow and her very busy summer. She is just over 10 mths old and is weighing in at about 59 lbs – very lean but in great shape. We have a hard time keeping her weight on as she is SOOOOO active! 2 long walks daily, usually a swim in the river and lots of play. She loves basketball and has destroyed 3 already….she also loves her “chuckit” and tracks the ball down with ease. We spent time at a cottage in PEI this summer and I believe she would move to the beach if she had the chance. We met a chocolate lab named “Jack” in a neighboring cottage, he was a 2 yr old boy and weighed about 95lbs! Willow was not impressed with him at all! I have attached a few pictures of Willow on the beach and relaxing afterwards.
All the best, John
All as a result of Kadnook Meant To Be (aka Rose) . Gary got Doindogs Chelsea Marie, a Rose pup and the mother in this trio, from me.

Lu qualified easily yesterday at. Working Certificate test. These tests are meant to test a retrievers natural ability and it sure did! This was the first time she retrieved a dead duck or heard shots.

Hi Don, It has been too long since I sent an update.
Tucker turned 9 last month, it is hard to believe it has been that long. He has a bit of grey fur but he cannot see that.
Nala has recovered from having the pups without problem.
Their pups are both doing well, the male, Bear is kind of goofy looking and still needs to grow into himself.
All the best,
EF
Recent pictures of our girl Sable...I didn't get any older!

This artificial sweetener is very dangerous for dogs! It is sometimes used in peanut butter and other human foods that may be given to dogs!!
New research on the biology of aging in dogs suggests a link between shortened life expectancy and ovary removal.
The study, published in the December 2009 issue of the journal Aging Cell, found that Rottweilers that were spayed after they were 6 years old were 4.6 times as likely to reach 13 years of age as were Rottweilers that were spayed at a younger age.
More info:
She’s doing really well. The vet says her weight is perfect (62lbs) and she’s very healthy and physically fit. I hope you and your dogs are doing well.
Take care,
Susan and Nya
What a great evening spent at the pond with Roxy! As I had mentioned before, when we took her to the pond, she ventured out too far and made me nervous! So here she is sporting her new life jacket! Once she swam for a bit I took it off her! As you can tell from the pics, she had no fun at all!! Haha!! Kidding, she loved every minute and when it was time to leave, she wouldn't get out of the water!
