Gila

Hi Don,

We're getting along very well with our new puppy.  By the way, we changed her name on her second day here to Gila.  That's a hard "G" sound and rhymes with Mila (as in Mulroney).  It's an Indonesian word that means crazy; it's just easier to say than Pud and doesn't sound like anything else.  It really suits her and she responds well to it.

It took her a few days to really warm up to us, but now she's happy and friendly.  We can tell she's very smart.  She learned the commands come, sit and rollover very quickly, and will down from the sitting position with a little help.  Her natural retrieving ablilities were well developed from the start.  Already she weighs twenty pounds.

Had to take her to the vet last week because she had a yeast infection in her ears.  That's clearing up nicely.

Thought you might like these photos taken on Mar 6 & 16.  It's difficult to get a good photo of a moving object!  Hope you like them.

Take care,

Jo Ann

Here are some pictures of Casey (from Bellas litter in October 06), these were taken around the beginning of january.

Im not sure if we sent you these already or not, but enjoy.

She is growing alot, she is now 43lbs and almost 5 months old. We have found a few of her teeth over the last week as well.

She is definitely keeping us busy :)

Ruby and Annie

Hey Don,

Hope all is well.  'Rudy' has been a fantastic addition to the home and gets along with his new sister 'Annie' amazingly.  Here are a couple of shots with the two of them together, as they are inseparable.  He is a great dog, with a great personality, obedient, and he housebroke in two weeks.  We can't ask for more than that.  In one of the photos, you can see a framed photo (partially) with my sister, myself and our family yellow lab 'Kelsi'.  Rudy meets her next month...that will be a 'fun' time'.

Thanks,

Marc and Chanda MacLeod
